Q & A
Q. What’s involved when you photograph a wedding?
A. I can break my involvement at a wedding into two key elements – service and quality.
I am there to capture the very essence of your day. That means I plan your wedding extremely carefully beforehand in complete liaison with you. Often after a wedding there is very little to hold onto physically apart from your rings and your wedding dress - you can’t take the venue with you or keep your cake forever - so it’s my job to ensure you have lasting memories of all the important details of the day.
I want you to be relaxed and comfortable with me on the day so the more we communicate beforehand the easier it will be. Since I have many international clients and others who live further away within the UK it is not always feasible to discuss wedding plans regularly face to face. However good communication channels are vital and I encourage phone conversations and emails to ensure I know your wedding plans in detail. I am always there to advise and to answer any questions you may have.
You can be assured of peace of mind knowing that I will take great care in preparing your wedding photography adhering to your reception timescales and knowing in advance the people that are important to you and also. I will also have your photography planned in all the best photography locations as I will have visited your venue beforehand (often with you).
On your wedding day I will always be friendly and polite to you and your family and friends so that everyone can enjoy your special day.
I am aware that you have commissioned many wedding suppliers to ensure your day is as perfect as it can be and I will always work in close liaison with them also.
I am very particular about the quality of work I produce for you and therefore I only use top end professional equipment including cameras; lenses digital storage cards and computer hardware and software. My computer is colour calibrated (digital photography can cause colour problems) and I only ever use a specialist photographic lab for printing purposes. I have excellent digital photography computer skills and although a great deal of my time is spent planning and photographing your wedding the bulk of my time is spent at the computer afterwards to ensure that your final prints are of excellent standard.
Q. How much are your packages?
A. I cover a complete range of packages to suit every budget but each package can be tailored to suit your individual requirements so if you need additional or less time or images this can be factored in. I also offer an excellent range of albums or the option of a copyrighted CD of your wedding images. Simply fill in the contact page and I will send you a price list.
Q. How long does it take to get my proofs?
A. I generally work on your proofs directly after your wedding so that they are ready for you on your return from honeymoon.
